Mailkeep DNS Services

Mailkeep offers a comprehensive DNS service. This means that Mailkeep can act as the primary or secondary DNS server for your Mailkeep domains, and the service is included free in your Mailkeep account.

A DNS service means that we can store information about your domain name, such as where to send e-mail for it. Normally you would have to pay for this service and you would be unable to easily change your settings. Mailkeep's DNS service allows you to make changes yourself, at any time. And the changes are made instantly!

Mailkeep will host DNS services for as many domains as you have in your Mailkeep account.

The Secondary DNS Service

Secondary DNS means that Mailkeep will keep a backup of your DNS records (automatically keeping them up to date) so that should your primary DNS server be unavailable, users can continue to get access to your domain information (such as where to send e-mails).

The Mailkeep Name Servers

Mailkeep's Name Servers are :-

  • ns1.mailkeep.net (64.46.45.27)
  • ns2.mailkeep.net (69.70.86.214)

How To Use the DNS Service

To enable our DNS service for one of your domains, just go to your Domains option and click on the domain name itself.

If the DNS service does not yet exist for that domain, you can choose whether to enable primary (where you enter all the DNS data) or secondary (where Mailkeep copies the data from the machine of your choice).
